Delbert Bland, Owner/President, is pleased to announce that Bruce Peterson has joined the Bland Farms team as CEO. Bruce joined the Bland Farms Board of Advisors in January 2011 and has accepted the position of CEO as of July 3rd.
Since the first crop of onions were grown in 1983, Bland Farms has not only experienced tremendous growth as a grower, packer and shipper of sweet onions, but has diversified into processed foods, fertilizer, and distribution services. The rapid growth and expansion into these categories in the past several years has led Bland to appoint Peterson as CEO. Bland stated, “I’m excited about working with Bruce and the leadership he brings. We have so many growth possibilities ahead. Bruce will be a significant help in making them coming to pass.” Of his new role Peterson stated “I’ve known Delbert Bland for a longtime and am pleased to help him and the family prepare the company for future growth.”
