Birko Consults With Pacific Date Corporation On Food Safety Program

HENDERSON, Colo. – Birko, a leader in providing food safety solutions to the produce industry, today announced it is providing consultative services and support to Pacific Date Corporation, Thermal, Calif., including specialized sanitation chemistry and training.
 
Pacific Date Corporation is a conventional and organic manufacturer of date products. 
 
Birko supplied Pacific Date with a suite of specialized chemistry to control pathogens and improve facility sanitation, including:

• Alpet® D2, an isopropyl/quat-based formula that sanitizes in 60 seconds and disinfects in five minutes.
• Birk-Ox™, an EPA-registered 5.6% active peracetic acid liquid that can be added to process water to prevent cross contamination. Also used as a post-rinse sanitizer for cleaned surfaces.
• Neutra Sol™, a combination of surface-active agents, plus non-toxic solvents, in a self-foaming product. Used as a general-purpose cleaning agent for all surfaces. 
• Sterilex® Ultra Disinfectant Cleaner Solution I and Ultra Kleen Liquid Cleaner Solution II, biofilm removal products for deep cleaning of processing equipment, drains and floors.
