FOWLER, Calif. – Bee Sweet’s import program is off to a strong start, and its sales team reports an ample supply mandarins and oranges.
“All imported product that comes through our facility is re-graded and re-packed to ensure that our consumers only receive premium citrus,” said Bee Sweet Citrus Sales Manager Joe Berberian. “Our attention to detail and year-round focus on citrus has given us an upper-hand when dealing with imports, and we’re excited to see how the remainder of the season goes.”
A grower, packer and shipper of citrus, Bee Sweet Citrus is the largest importer of Chilean citrus on the West Coast. While other packing houses focus on several different commodities throughout the year, Bee Sweet Citrus only works with citrus fruits. This allows company employees to familiarize themselves with the characteristics of premium citrus, as well as the needs of various retailers.
“July and August should be great promotional months for mandarins and oranges,” continued Berberian. “The eating quality of our imports have been great, and we’re thankful for our Chilean partners for helping us to kick off a strong, successful season.”
