Beach Street Farms Gears Up For 2011 Strawberry Season

Watsonville, CA – Beach Street Farms is ready for the 2011 strawberry season even though it won’t include longtime partner Fritz Koontz. The remaining founding partners Edward Ortega and Steve Rodoni, will continue to grow and market strawberries under the Beach Street Farms label. “We have had a successful 16 year partnership and have seen Beach Street grow beyond any of our expectations. We respect Fritz’s desire to move his farming operation in a different direction and thank him for all of his years of hard work and dedication. Steve and I will continue to grow the Beach Street label and provide the highest quality strawberries to our customers”, said Ortega.
"Beach Street’s 2011 plans are in place and we have already begun supplying customers with high quality strawberries from southern California” said Steve Rodoni. “The grower partnerships that we have throughout the state provide us the ability to supply our customers throughout the strawberry season. Edward and I are looking forward to another successful Beach Street Farms’ strawberry season”.
