The 68th EMMY® Awards Governors Ball and Creative Arts Balls menu will be featuring specialty produce from Santa Maria, California grower Babé Farms. The star-studded lineup of gourmet vegetables includes 21,000 individual beets (red, gold, and striped), 6,500 bulbs of petite baby fennel, 8,000 heads of Baby Lollo Rossa lettuce, and 2,700 pounds of Rainbow Carrots. These couture vegetables were used primarily for the salad course with the exception of the carrots which were a part of the “Turf & Turf” entrée.

This event required meticulous planning as Babé Farms worked closely with the Executive Chefs of Patina Catering, ensuring that all quantity and quality specifications were met for this major Hollywood event. Babé Farms’ colorful and glamourous produce was the perfect fit for this year’s theme: “Nature’s Elegance.”

Held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the Governors Ball is billed as the largest formal sit-down dinner in the U.S.  Babé Farms owners, Jeff Lundberg and Judy Lundberg-Wafer were on hand at the Press Preview event for exclusive interviews with local and celebrity media outlets.
