Agritrade Farms Brings Its Year-Round Okra To The New York Produce Show & Conference

Agritrade Farms in Deerfield Beach, Florida recently launched their new website at www.agritradefarms.com. Agritrade Farms specializes in growing okra year round and believes that okra is a superfood with tremendous global growth potential.
“We see okra as being the next big thing. It has phenomenal health and wellness attributes, which is where we are focusing much of our marketing efforts,” said Paul Boris, President/Co-Owner of Agritrade Farms. In addition to the Agritrade website, the company has created their own Gumbo-Licious Okra brand and also recently developed new retail packaging utilizing modified atmosphere technology.
“In addition to being extremely healthy, okra also tastes great and is an extremely versatile vegetable”, explains Paul Boris. Agritrade has included a recipe on their website for Roast Turkey with Sausage Gumbo Stuffing to show a creative way of enjoying okra.
Agritrade Farms will be exhibiting at the NY Produce Show. “We at Agritrade Farms consider ourselves okra missionaries and we are happy to sing the praises of okra’s health and wellness benefits,” said Paul Boris.
Nearly all of Agritrade's okra production, which comes from Honduras and the Dominican Republic, is pesticide-free, and is also Global Gap Certified. “We currently ship about 60 percent of our production to North America and the remaining 40 percent to Europe. We have expanded our okra growing and packing facilities in the Dominican Republic in anticipation of okra’s growing consumer demand,” explains Paul Boris.
Although Agritrade specializes in okra, it also grows and markets a complete line of Greenhouse and Asian Vegetables, Tropical’s and Melons.
