Ag Against Hunger will recognize a woman who has contributed significantly to the success of the tri-county agricultural industry at the seventeenth annual Ag Woman of the Year luncheon at Paraiso Vineyards in Soledad on Friday, June 11, 2010.
The Ag Woman of the Year award is a surprise to all guests including the recipient, who will be honored and recognized at the event. The Agricultural Woman of the Year award seeks to honor unique leadership qualities held by women working within our local agricultural industry.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Nicole Parra. Nicole Parra has more than 17 years of extensive legislative and political experience in California – having served as both as an elected official in the California State Legislature and a high level appointee of the Executive Branch. Most recently, Parra started her own consulting company, NMP Consulting, Inc. Parra is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fresno Community Food Bank. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Self Help Enterprises, a nonprofit Housing and Community Development Organization in the Central Valley.
