Accomplished Asparagus Sales Manager Moves To Progressive Produce

CRUZ CARRERA has joined PROGRESSIVE PRODUCE, a Los Angeles based grower/packer/shipper, as Sales Manager in the Asparagus Sales Department.

Mr. Carrera was previously working for Mission Produce, Inc. in their asparagus sales company, Mission Asparagus, LLC. Carrera joins Progressive Produce as a result of the recent acquisition of Mission’s asparagus business which was completed last month.

“We had a plan to increase our acres every year in order to have a viable year round program in this commodity when we began. The addition of Mission’s excellent growers along with Mr. Carrera’s 5 years of experience on the category will accelerate that plan and we are excited about it.” said Jim Leimkuhler, President of Progressive Produce.
“Cruz has long experience and deep relationships in the Asparagus world, and we welcome him to Progressive’s experienced sales team of Gary Meadows and Cory Stahl, along with general manager Don Hessel” says VP Sales/Owner Victor Rodarte.

As Sales Manager Carrera will be working with Gary Meadows and Cory Stahl on key account sales of the Americas brand year round asparagus program.

Cruz Carrera, his wife Bianca and two children reside in Camarillo, CA. In his free time Carrera enjoys the outdoors, running and coaching his sons T-ball.
