Whole Foods Stops Rabbit Meat Sales

Whole Foods Market Inc. will stop selling rabbit meat, reports NBC News' San Francisco-area TV affiliate.
The station notes that the move came in the wake of a news report that revealed concerns that USDA regulators had about one of Whole Food's rabbit meat suppliers. But Whole Foods (Nasdaq: WFM), in a statement issued to the station, said low sales drove its decision.
The Austin-based organic grocer had begun selling rabbit meat in some of its stores in late summer 2014.
