SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Work on the new Seaboard Triumph Foods pork processing facility just south of Sioux City continues.
The $264,000 dollar pork plant at Bridgeport Industrial Park is expected to be complete by next summer.
And when all systems are a-go, it'll be producing about 620 million pounds of pork per year.
Organizers tell ABC9 that hiring is already underway.
"We started recruiting people now especially for our management team. We'll be recruiting heavier when we get into the December-January time frames for all of our production folk," said Irving Jensen Jr. of the company.
