LEXINGTON, Ky. — Laura's Lean Beef – a provider of lean, all natural, and organic beef products – plans to donate $1,000 to 10 elementary, middle and/or high schools across the country through its new "Laura's in Motion" community giving program. Each school winner will use its $1,000 to purchase sports equipment to encourage childhood health through fitness and education.
To nominate the school of your choice, visit www.laurasleanbeef.com/lauras-in-motion to submit a 3 to 5-minute video expressing how your school would use the funds and why you deserve the money to buy new sports equipment. Using the hashtag #LaurasinMotion, nominees can share their video entries via the Laura's Lean Beef website, and encourage friends, family and colleagues to promote them on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
"This friendly competition is a way to reward schools, parents and teachers alike who believe an active lifestyle is necessary for a child to live a healthy life," said Paul Nobbe, Director of Marketing. "At Laura's Lean Beef, we not only believe healthy, balanced eating is important, but we also encourage daily physical activity for people of all ages – especially children."
A panel of judges from Laura's Lean Beef will review all videos and determine the top 20 finalists. The final 10 winners will be awarded the $1,000 prize based on the school's need for new sports equipment, creativity, school spirit, votes and online engagement with the video submission. For complete entry details and the full list of official rules, visit www.laurasleanbeef.com/lauras-in-motion.
Video submissions will be accepted from October 3 to October 24. Winners will be notified directly in November and announced on the Laura's Lean Beef website and social channels.
One entry per school will be accepted and must be submitted by school administrators, students, teachers or an outside supporter with written permission from a school official to submit. Schools in every state and grade level are encouraged to apply.
