SALINE, COUNTY, Kansas A group of Salina County ranchers have set out to
increase their profits by producing the highest quality beef on the market. Its
called Kobe or Wagyu and comes with a high price tag. But luckily they have
found a way to get buyers more bang for their buck.
It may look like an average steak, but costing up to $300, its far from it.
“Here what you see is the future of our beef, said Glenn Skulborstad, with
Cossette Farms.
Its hard to imagine a future where beef is that expensive. But Jack Cossette,
of Gypsum Valley Wagyu, has a plan to make Japanese Kobe beef affordable to a
Kansas market.
