Oakland, CA – National Meat Association is pleased to announce that MEATXPO’11, Suppliers’ Exposition and 65th Annual Convention, will be held on February 13-16, 2011 at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. The keynote speaker for the convention will be Bill Rupp, President of JBS USA’s beef division. Rupp will address the audience at the Annual Meeting on Tuesday morning, February 15.
Rupp has a long history in the beef industry. Prior to joining JBS, he was CEO of Loveland, Colo.-based Meyer Natural Foods. He started with Meyer in February of 2009, after stepping down as president of Wichita, Kan.-based Cargill Meat Solutions. He was with Cargill in various capacities for more than 25 years.
NMA's MEATXPO’11 event will be packed with roundtable seminars. Topics include: STEC Surveillance, Exports, Donning & Doffing, PHIS, Industry Structure, and Industry Image. Roundtable speakers will include: Mohammad Koohmaraie, IEH Laboratories; Phil Seng, USMEF; Julie Myers, Immigration & Customs Solution; Laurie Bryant, MICA; Al Almanza, FSIS and many more.
