Pat McGonegle, an executive with the National Pork Producers Council, will become CEO of the Iowa Pork Producers Association, the state group's board of directors announced last week.
McGonegle will replace Rich Degner, who is retiring Sept. 30 after 35 years with the Iowa Pork Producers Association. Degner was CEO for 17 years.
McGonegle served since 2002 as the vice president of state relations and resource development at the National Pork Producers Council, where he has worked for 19 years.
