DALLAS – Hofmann Sausage Company (Hofmann Hot Dogs) will donate 1584 hot dogs to the Tarrant County Food Bank next week. Later this week, 22 cases of Hofmann Beef Franks will arrive at the food bank to help provide food to the people it serves.
"We are happy to donate to another worthy facility to help feed people in our own backyard," said Bob Sambol, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hofmann Sausage Company. Hofmann gave $1,000 to the North Texas Food Bank, following the Hofmann Hot Dog Challenge, an amateur competitive hot dog eating contest, which was held October 12th at the State Fair of Texas on the Chevy Main Stage. "Our hot dogs are healthy and a great source of protein. They are gluten free, contain no MSG or artificial flavors or colors, and they are minimally processed," added Sambol.
Hofmann Sausage Company, the oldest hot dog company in the country, was founded in Syracuse, NY in 1879 but was only available in Central New York stores until the new ownership took over earlier this year. Hofmann has expanded its retail distribution outside of Central New York with Albertson's and Brookshire's supermarkets and plans for a much larger national and international reach. Using the expertise of restaurateur Phil Romano, Hofmann also plans to open a chain of "Hofmann Hots" quick service restaurants across the country, starting in the Trinity Groves Development, located in West Dallas, November 2012.Visit: www.hofmannhotdogs.com.
