Harrisonville Approves Plan to Redevelop Blighted Building into Jack Stack Processing Facility

HARRISONVILLE, Mo. – The Harrisonville Board of Aldermen approved plans to transform a long-blighted building into a barbecue processing facility.
JBQ Meats is the production side of Jack Stack Barbeque’s retail and shipping products.
In a statement to KCTV, Harrisonville Mayor Mike Zaring expressed his approval for the plans.
A special-use permit was requested in September 2025 to turn Bizarre Bazaar, a former Walmart, into a facility for the production, packaging and distribution of meat products. No animals will be slaughtered in the facility.
