Queen City Sausage and Provision Inc. in Camp Washington embarks on the 11th expansion in its 47-year history Monday fulfilling a dream of owner Elmer Hensler.
The company will demolish the old Kee Toy Building, next door to its plant at 1136 Straight St., to make way for a 36,000 square-foot addition that will more than double the plant’s size.
The expansion is expected to mean additional hires for the city’s largest independent sausage maker, which now employs 34.
