Ottawa, Ont. – On September 27, during its 96th Annual Conference in Ottawa, Ontario, the Canadian Meat Council elected Troy Warren as President and Chair of the Board for 2016-2018.
Mr. Warren is currently Vice President, Product Management, Planning, and Procurement for Maple Leaf Foods. During an 18-year career with Maple Leaf Foods, he has held a series of progressively responsible leadership roles.
In 2010, Mr. Warren launched Maple Leaf Foods Raised Without Antibiotic Pork Production. Over the past five years, he has led the global customer and product portfolio expansion of this category, managing the commercial component of Maple Leaf Foods Primary Pork operations, and recording annual sales exceeding $1.3 billion.
Raised in St. Mary’s, Ontario, Troy Warren graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. Currently living in Campbellville, Ontario, with his wife, Diana, they have two children – a three-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old son.
