AMI Expo 2012 has announced the topic of its General Session. “Charting the Course: Industry and Economic Outlook” will look at key strategic economic trends in the meat industry. Top industry executives will not only help attendees understand the economic indicators toward self-sustaining growth but also how to make safe, affordable and abundant food a global reality.
Featured speakers include Eric B. Trachtenberg, Director, Food & Agriculture Sector, McLarty Associates and Ted McKinney, Director, Global Corporate Affairs at Elanco Animal Health, a division of Eli Lilly. Trachtenberg has spent more than 20 years working on international agriculture trade issues serving as a Foreign Service Officer for USDA’s Foreign Agriculture service in key U.S. export markets, including China, Taiwan and Russia. McKinney has more than 30 years experience working on the issues shaping modern agriculture including many efforts to support the American farmer and production agriculture in feeding and fueling the world.
“Charting the Course: Industry and Economic Outlook” will be on Thursday, May 3 from 9-10 a.m. and is open to all AMI Expo attendees.
