CANBY, Ore. – Terra Nova Nurseries announced today a new introduction now available to garden centers, Rodgersia ‘Bronze Peacock’. This variety is already a popular favorite among the company’s grower customers.
Rodgersia ‘Bronze Peacock’ has the darkest foliage of any preceding rodgersia the breeding team at Terra Nova Nurseries has seen. The leaves are thick, glossy, indented, and make a great sculptural addition to woodland gardens. ‘Bronze Peacock’ has pink flowers that bloom from June to August. In spring, the huge bronze leaves emerge like a peacock's tail, giving this beautiful variety its name. Rodgersia ‘Bronze Peacock’ has a compact, clumping habit that stays within bounds of a container or garden. The average size includes 28” Width / 22” Height / 50” Flower Height. Additionally, this plant performs well in zones 5-8 and prefers to grow in part shade.
Terra Nova Nurseries has created a “Plant Profile” page specific to this introduction so retailers interested ordering Rodgersia ‘Bronze Peacock’ from their growers can learn about plant characteristics as well as share this information with consumers. The plant profile can be viewed and downloaded for printing at: www.terranovanurseries.com.
