CANBY, Ore. – Terra Nova Nurseries announced today a new introduction now available to garden centers, Heuchera ‘Georgia Plum’. This variety is a new and improved form of Terra Nova Nurseries’ Heuchera ‘Georgia Peach’.
With its eye-catching and tough, year round rose-purple leaves, pink to silver overlay, and purple-pink flowers, Heuchera ‘Georgia Plum’ is proving to be one of the company’s best heuchera varieties yet. It has a tight mounding habit with small leaves and shorter flowers than Heuchera ‘Georgia Peach’. Also, it is heat and humidity-resistant; drought-tolerant; grows well in the Deep South; and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. For optimal growth this plant needs moderately well-drained, organic soil types. The average size includes 15” Width / 7” Height / 14” Flower Height and is perfect in zones 4 – 9. Heuchera ‘Georgia Plum’ is great in mixed beds, borders, shade gardens, woodland gardens and containers.
Terra Nova Nurseries has created a “Plant Profile” page specific to this introduction so retailers interested ordering Heuchera ‘Georgia Plum’ from their growers can learn about plant characteristics as well as share this information with consumers. The plant profile can be viewed and downloaded for printing at: www.terranovanurseries.com.
