Team NL Tulip Launched At Olympic Games In Rio

On the initiative of Dutch Flower Group, on 4 August, prior to the 2016 Olympic Games, at the Holland Heineken House in Rio, a special orange tulip was launched: TeamNL.

Wim Balder, as inventor of the tulip, and Maurits Hendriks, ‘chef de mission’ of TeamNL/NOC*NSF, baptised the tulip together with  Pascal Gilet, managing director of Heineken.

This special orange tulip is the result of close cooperation in the floral chain. Wim Balder, Jan-Karel Apeldoorn, L&M, Holex and Dutch Flower Group have taken every effort to get this tulip available outside the tulip season and especially in time for these Olympic Games.
