On Wednesday night September 13, 2012 the festive annual Election of the International Grower of the Year was held in Horst/Venlo the Netherlands.
The number of participants was high this year. After a pre selection by the International Jury 6 candidates were left for the final. These were the national winners of the grower of the year contests in Australia Mansfield Propagation Nursery, Belgium Potplantenkwekerij Dirk Mermels, Canada Sheridan Nurseries, Italy Trapani Piante, The Netherlands van den Berg Roses and the United Kingdom Lovania Nurseries.
According to the President of the jury Mr. Doeke Faber already the pre selection was difficult while the quality of the finalists was never as high as this year.
All the participants are excellent companies and very modern state of the art examples for the ornamental industry.
