Star Roses and Plants Wins Awards from The 2027 American Rose Trials for Sustainability

West Grove, PA – Star® Roses and Plants, is pleased to announce that four of its top-performing roses have won awards from The American Rose Trials for Sustainability® (A.R.T.S.®) program. A.R.T.S.® identifies the most sustainable, hardy, pest-resistant, and beautiful rose cultivars for use in American landscapes and gardens.
The winners are as follows:
Buttercream Drift® has attractive, creamy yellow blooms. Its compact size, disease resistance, and abundant blooming make it an elegant and reliable groundcover rose for the landscape.
Veranda® Fiesta has an exceptionally bright flower color, which contrasts nicely against its dark green, glossy foliage. It is extremely floriferous and performs well in containers or as a low hedge.
Raspberry Cupcake™ performs well on its own roots, has excellent resistance to mildews and rust, and stands up to black spot on the East Coast. The deeply fragrant, pink blooms will rebloom throughout the season.
Top Cream™ is a Hybrid Tea with large, old-fashioned blooms that are extremely fragrant with notes of earthy pear. Its abundant petals are creamy-white with an occasional light pink blush depending on season and climate.
All roses entered into A.R.T.S.® are evaluated under low input conditions using data on the presence of disease and pests, flowering, foliage, plant form, growth habit and general health. To win an award, roses must prove they are resilient on their own merits without being sustained by repeated fertilizer applications or chemical sprays and are based on the regional performance data collected during the trial cycle.
