West Grove, PA — Star® Roses and Plants received the 2017 Media Awards Silver Medal of Achievement from GWA: The Association for Garden Communicators for its October 2016 e-magazine, Plant A Star®.
This national award recognizes individuals and companies who achieve the highest levels of talent and professionalism in garden communications. The 2017 competition had more than 200 entries in 61 categories.
The magazine was designed by one of Star® Roses and Plants’ in-house graphic designers, Kathleen White. “Our goal of the magazine was to inspire gardeners of all levels with beautiful imagery, design and simple to follow content,” says White.
Recipients of the Silver Medal represent the top winners each competition category and will now compete for best of group in the areas of writing, photography, digital media, broadcast media, publishing and trade. The winners will be announced during the GWA Awards & Honors Dinner at the 2017 GWA Annual Conference & Expo on August 7 in Buffalo, NY.
