I'm talking about Pink Mink™ clematis. Something about the name makes me think of cool '60's people drinking colorful cocktails and jamming to Tom Jones music. (The actual Pink Mink soundtrack is something else entirely.) Anyway, the plant itself is as fabulous as Mr. Jones in his prime: showy and really easy to love. Oh heck. Tom Jones has still got it.
Easy to grow and covered with flowers, it was developed by Szczepan Marczynski, who also brought us 'Sweet Summer Love'.
The abundant pink-on-pink blooms flower from early summer until early fall.
Simply prune it hard to 18" in early spring for an amazing summer show!
