Russia's Trade Fair 'Flowers' Concludes With Record Number Of Visitors In Its 20th Year

Moscow – The international floriculture trade fair "Flowers", which was held last week in Moscow, attracted an overwhelming number of visitors during its 20th year anniversary. The 3 day event was attended by an estimated 50.000 visitors who came to see the flowers, plants and other floral products being exhibited by over 350 national and international participating companies.

Especially the presentations of 53 international flower growers from the 4 world’s most important cut flower producing countries, i.e. Ecuador, Kenya, Ethiopia and Colombia, were the talk of the Show. Also the display of the newest Rose variety "Madam Red" of the Dutch based rose breeder Preesman, drew great attention of the many attending Russian flower buyers. Exhibiting growers were very satisfied with the outcome of the fair and complimented the organisation with the attendance of many buyers from outside the Moscow region, such as from Samara, Omsk, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Volgograd and Novosibirsk. Also buyers from others surrounding countries, such as Ukraine, Belarus and Kazachstan, visited the fair.

This year the Dutch based HPP Exhibitions from Amsterdam, organizer of the yearly held Expo Flora Russia, teamed up with the exhibition "FLOWERS" which is organised by the Russian based AREC from Moscow and German based IPM from Essen. This partnership formed the basis of a very strong and complete floriculture trade exhibition, resulting in last week’s success.
