Norfolk Island Pine Makes Unique Houseplant

Try the Norfolk Island pine (Araucaria heterophylla). This formal looking plant is readily found at big-box stores and local florists this time of year in various sizes and prices.

These plants have a pyramid shape with the limbs arranged in tiers. The branches are whorled and have needle-like foliage. It can be decorated as a mini Christmas tree or simply be a houseplant.
