Charlotte, North Carolina – Svensson has introduced the next generation of Harmony diffused light climate screens. Recent trials show that plants in shade spots receive 32% more light with the new Harmony screen than with the classic Harmony version.

“Light is distributed more evenly to all plants in the greenhouse, resulting in faster growth, stronger plants and better growth consistency,” says Mauricio Manotas. “

This more homogenous, diffuse light provided by the next generation Harmony screens results in more active leaves and better light usage, leading to better crop quality and higher yields.

New Harmony screens are made with improved materials to help growers avoid plant overheating and accelerate production further improving the way sunlight is scattered through the strips of the climate screens. Benefits include less risk of burning the plant heads, better growth consistency and more intense colors of flowers.

The new Harmony screen will be available in open and closed versions and in a wide range of shading levels, all with flame retardant properties that meet the industry's highest fire safety standards.

New Harmony climate screens are produced at Svensson’s factory in Kinna, Sweden, and will be available for delivery in time for spring 2016.
