Floriagraphy. No, it doesn’t mean to study floors.
Otherwise known as the language of flowers, floriagraphy saw its peak in the Victorian era, when flowers were sent to convey certain coded messages.
Angie Carter, an assistant at Jeffrey’s Flowers on Hixson Pike, said a customer recently wanted to send flowers to someone he’d just met. He might have considered sending gloxinias, a flowering plant said to represent love at first sight.
Granted, not every woman is a fan of all things floral.
