IPM ESSEN, one of the largest international horticulture fairs in the world, will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in January of 2012. The combination of the sectors plants, floristry, technology as well as marketing and promotion, makes IPM into a premier global fair and meeting place for the green sector.
For its 30th anniversary, IPM ESSEN has launched the international "Colour Your Life Award" in collaboration with the Federation of German Tree Nurseries (BdB) and Plant Publicity Holland. This medal of excellence will be bestowed upon those plants whose characteristics make them exceptionally suitable for targeted promotional campaigns.
The plan is to stage national competitions in the fall of this year, the final nominees of which will then be introduced to the wider trade public at IPM ESSEN 2012. There, both the audience and a professional jury will determine their favorite plants, which will subsequently become the subject of a professional marketing campaign. Note that applications for the "Colour Your Life Award" can be filed until July 31, 2011.
