Fairbury, Ill. — Most couples spend months and sometimes a year planning their wedding, making arrangements for a location for the big event, reserving a place for the reception, contacting a caterer, choosing and ordering clothing attire, choosing and ordering the wedding cake and selecting the appropriate floral arrangements.
"Flowers are an important part of weddings," said Diane Koehl, who owns and operates Nature's Designs in Fairbury. "And although, some things have changed as far as style and popular colors for bouquets, fresh flowers are still the favorite among 75 percent of our brides."
Koehl, who is already booked for every weekend this year from May through October, tries to book only one wedding per weekend, unless she runs into an extraordinary situation.
