Florensis Cut Flowers Acquires Activities Of H.A. van Klink & Zn

Florensis Cut Flowers in Rijsenhout will take over per 1 November 2011 all activities of H.A. van Klink & Zn of Buitenkaag.

Florensis will acquire through this a dominant position in the market for propagation material for cut flowers from seed. The scale enlargement will also contribute to more efficient production and cost management at Florensis.

The entire production process will be merged at Florensis’s existing location in Rijsenhout. The staff from Van Klink will from that point be employed by Florensis.

Taking over this family business and merging the activities of two companies with similar activities will optimize utilization of each other’s knowledge and expertise and result in benefits in the areas of production and product development.

“We are convinced that this step is under the current challenging circumstances the correct course of action and will prove successful for our customers”, as George van Klink puts it.

Herman Hamer adds: “Florensis is expanding with this takeover of the activities of H.A. van Klink & Zn from a solid base its products and services for cut flower cultivators.”
