FALL CREEK — Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, a leading worldwide producer of blueberry nursery plant stock, has bought a Netherlands blueberry plant grower as part of its continuing expansion.
The purchase of Driesvenplant B.V. in The Netherlands for an undisclosed price gives Fall Creek a Northern European plant-growing facility. Fall Creek already has three large nurseries and a research facility near Lowell and Pleasant Hill, as well as nurseries at locations it has built in recent years in Mexico, Peru and Spain.
Fall Creek and its subsidiaries worldwide have a total of more than 400 employees, the company said. The company said it produces and sells about 35 million blueberry plants globally each year, selling them in about 100 countries. The privately held company doesn’t disclose finances.
