The Retail Division of Dutch Flower Group (DFG) once again held its annual Suppliers' Day on 26 September 2012. The Retail Division Flowers, comprised of five specialized companies who supply the internationally importing wholesalers, invited over 80 of her Dutch suppliers, all growers of cut flowers.
The theme chosen this year was knowledge in the chain, especially the sharing of knowledge of the importing wholesaler and its customers. Dutch Flower Group offered an afternoon programme in which three international customers spoke and fielded questions.
Marco Vermeulen, Director of the Flowers Wholesale Division, opened the programme and was followed by four speakers. Marco van Zijverden, CEO of DFG, shared his vision of the current developments in the floriculture industry and talked about DFG's policy with regard to creating more transparency in the chain. "Making a choice and showing your colours means you can begin building together, building added value for the consumer."
