The "Buy CA Grown" message will be broadcast loud and clear during this year's Society of American Florists (SAF) Convention and the Wholesale Florists and Floral Supply Association (WF&FSA) Convention. The Commission will be proudly sponsoring this year's Sylvia Cup at the SAF Annual Convention in Orlando. As the longest running, live, national annual floral industry design competition, the CA Grown flowers promoted and used in the competition will help to highlight California's strength on quality and variety.
The Commission recently approved its endorsement of the WF&FSA Convention, being held in Miami, Florida this year and following up on that endorsement, the Commission's promotion efforts this year includes the sponsorship of the 2010 WF&FSA Convention. CCFC will be meeting with wholesalers and promoting the "Buy CA Grown" message through networking and direct marketing. The Commission will continue to work with wholesalers on their participation in the CA Grown program and how they can help drive sales and the sales of their customers by employing strategies offered through the CCFC and the CA Grown campaign.
"These endorsements and sponsorships are both seen and appreciated by our customers," explains CCFC Promotion Committee Chair Chad Nelson. "They are also a great opportunity for us to get our 'Buy CA Grown' message out to those who can recognize the benefit of selling more of our California Grown flowers to their customers."
