KINGSTON — A new partnership between St. Lawrence College and a Cornwall-area business could mean a change to commercial storage of produce and fresh-cut flowers.
Gord Brown, member of Parliament for Leeds-Grenville, announced the partnership at the college's Kingston campus Wednesday as a part of the Federal Economic Development Agency's (FedDev) applied research and commercialization initiative.
Brown announced six partnerships between the college and eastern Ontario businesses, which will see students working with small and medium-sized businesses on projects such as applied research, engineering design, technology development, product testing and certification.
FedDev will provide the college with up to $154,993 in funding for the projects.
