AFE recently visited Ball Horticultural Co. during the Board of Trustees meeting in Chicago, Il., from July 18-20th.
Presentations from Ball employees were made on a variety of topics including Downy Mildew, Chrysantis, and Cool Wave Pansies. AFE toured the Ball Premiere Lab, a state-of-the-art facility for coating, pelleting, priming and testing of flower seeds, as well as the Seed Distribution Center.
Trustees also had the opportunity to tour the beautiful Gardens at Ball and attended a reception where AFE Chairman-Elect Paul Bachman of Bachman’s Inc. presented Ball President & CEO Anna Ball with a plaque to recognize Ball Horticultural Co. for their support of the Endowment.
