AFE Flower Power Update: Promising Initial Results

In the last Bulletin, you learned about the new Flower Power project that AFE, through the Floral Marketing Research Fund*, is funding to improve flower use by college students.
UC-Davis Plant Sciences professor Heiner Lieth, Ph.D., is conducting the research, inspired by a clear message students in his popular course, commonly called Flower Power, had for the floriculture industry:
The industry is doing a terrible job overall of getting flowers into the hands of young people.
He recently completed a successful test run of the project, with the official surveys taking place next spring. The initial results are hopeful.
