MADISON, Wis. — Since the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board launched its popular 30 Days, 30 Ways with Macaroni & Cheese blog in 2010, one thing has become clear: there’s no shortage of enthusiasm for this comfort food dish. Today marks the 100th recipe posted to the blog, which has become the ultimate resource for all things Macaroni & Cheese.
The 100th recipe is perfect for a Valentine’s Day meal. Blogger Dawn Viola created an elegant version with Champagne and pancetta, paired with three Wisconsin cheeses – Cheddar, Gruyere and Parmesan. Today’s visitors to the blog are encouraged to enter the 100th Recipe Wisconsin Cheese Giveaway by sharing their favorite Macaroni & Cheese recipe for a chance to win a Wisconsin Cheese gift basket.
Launched annually on January 20 in celebration of National Cheese Lover’s Day, the blog features a new blogger-created recipe each day for 30 days. The recipes run the gamut, ranging from simple to sophisticated, stovetop to oven-baked.
Here’s a sampling of this year’s popular recipes:
• Brown Eyed Baker shared an easy, super-creamy Stovetop Macaroni & Cheese made with three Wisconsin cheeses.
• Bistro Brie Mac ‘n Cheese Puffs from Sugar Plum is an elegant, bite-sized twist on the classic.
• Baked Ricotta Macaroni & Cheese by Peanut Butter Fingers is a lightened up version made with just five ingredients.
