SARASOTA, Fla. – Troyer’s of South Florida, a distributor of Troyer brand deli products, locally-sourced items, and other grocery and specialty foods, will hold a tabletop show in conjunction with McClain’s Old Florida Gourmet’s annual tabletop show August 20 and 21.
The two regional distributors are in close proximity in Sarasota making it easy for attendees to visit both shows and offering retailers the opportunity to sample a broader scope of new and trending products, said Kelly Abercrombie, CEO of McClain’s, which is a regional distributor of shelf stable gourmet food, bulk and count candy, and Florida specialties and novelties.
Both distributors cover the state of Florida and work collaboratively on product distribution. “We discovered each other four or five years ago through mutual customers and found that we are a greater force working together,” said Dave Stutzman, owner of Troyer’s of South Florida. “We will help each other distribute product and try to cross promote to help each other’s business. Working together also helps our customers.”
McClain’s and Troyer’s are offering 5 percent show discounts and a chance to win an iPad for those who attend both shows in addition to the iPad McClain’s is giving away each day of the show. Representatives from both national and regional producers and retailers will be attending, Abercrombie said.
