The hottest cheese ever sold in Britain will be available from today.
It combines traditional Cheddar with fiery Scotch Bonnet chilli peppers. Tesco warns that it is 'not for the faint-hearted'.
The pepper is up to 50 times hotter than a jalapeno, and even its makers warn it will appeal only to those whose palate can cope with extreme heat.
Until now the hottest cheese available in Britain was the Mexicana, which the chain's cheese buyer, Ashleigh MacFarlane, said was only 'mildly spicy' compared to the Scotch Bonnet.
