Homewood, Ill. – Just in time for the peak summer driving season, Carl Buddig & Company and Old Wisconsin are launching the Fill Your Tank promotion to give consumers a chance for relief at the gas pump and to win other exciting prizes. The summer sweepstakes runs July 3 through Sept. 30, 2012.
"Pain at the gas pump has hit many Americans hard this year and we're excited to kick off the Fill Your Tank sweepstakes to provide our retail customers with a timely promotion to fuel sales for Buddig Lunchmeat and Old Wisconsin meat snack products," said Tom Buddig, Executive Vice President Marketing for Carl Buddig & Company.
Sweepstakes prizing includes two Grand Prizes of a year's worth of free gas ($3,500 retail value), plus weekly giveaways of Gas Cards ($100 retail value) and AmeriGas Propane Gift Cards ($20 retail value). Coupons for Buddig Lunchmeat and Old Wisconsin products will also be awarded weekly.
Consumers will be encouraged to join the campaign through an on-pack sticker featured on select varieties of Buddig Original, Deli Cuts and Old Wisconsin products. Additional promotional support for the sweepstakes includes a newspaper advertising campaign featuring money saving coupons, public relations and social media.
With higher gas prices eating up a larger share of consumers' budgets, the Fill Your Tank promotion gives them the chance to decrease their spending on gas and shift it to other areas.
"Our expectation for our Fill Your Tank promotion is to fuel retail sales and throttle up the fun for families and other value-conscious consumers by freeing up dollars so they can enjoy the best of what summer has to offer," Buddig adds. With gas prices top-of-mind with most consumers, it's a fair bet that summer fun will also include plenty of Buddig and Old Wisconsin products.
