Crosswinds Farm and Creamery in Ovid, Seneca County, has released a maple version of Morning Glory, the dairy's spreadable cheese made from Brown Swiss and Holstein cow's milk.

"We use only pure organic maple sugar from Schoolyard Sugarbush in Moravia, (Cayuga County), creating a naturally sweet and creamy treat," says Crosswinds co-owner Sarah Van Orden. "It's soft enough to be used as a frosting on carrot cake, brownies, etcetera – or as a dip or spread."

The cheese also makes a fine stuffing for French toast, she adds.
