Ohio Swiss Cheese Association Announces Contest Winners

Ohio Swiss Cheese Association Inc. announced the winners of the 2017 National Dairy Month contest held June 8 at Pearl Valley Cheese in Fresno.

This contest awarded the cheesemakers for Swiss class and open class classifications. Swiss class winners are Guggisberg Cheese Co., of Millersburg, in first place; Pearl Valley Cheese, of Fresno, in second place; and Broad Run Dairy, of Dover, in third place.

Open class winners are Bunker Hill Cheese, of Millersburg, in first place with Jersey fresh cheese; Pearl Valley Cheese, of Fresno, in second place with Colby cheese; and Guggisberg Cheese Co., of Millersburg, in third place with butter cheese.
