Officials Issue Warning About Bacteria In PA Farm's Goat Cheese

Pennsylvania regulators are urging consumers who purchased certain batches of goat milk cheese from a central Pennsylvania dairy to throw it out because some samples tested positive for a certain bacteria.

Authorities say samples from Apple Tree Goat Dairy in Richfield tested positive Aug. 29 for the bacteria listeria monocytogenes. They say there have been no reports of illnesses.

The state Agriculture Department on Friday issued the warning regarding particular lot numbers of cheese from the dairy.
