New Items From La Quercia: ‘Nduja Retail Pack & Salami Americano

A delicious spreadable blend of La Quercia cured pork, red chili, and sea salt, our 'nduja is wonderfully flexible as an ingredient. A dollop spices up pasta, pizza, sauteed vegetables, soups — almost anything that needs a boost of flavor! Or go simple and just spread it on fresh bread or crackers for a tasty snack.  

Originating in Calabria, 'Nduja was made from the "poor cuts" of pork left over from butchering. Our 'Nduja Americana is made with fully cured prosciutto and speck — quite the opposite of poor cuts! We spice ours with a mix of American red chili peppers; it is spicy, very rich, packed with umami.

Please welcome Salami Americano, the newest member of our salami line! This is salami in the Italian-American tradition, with a hint of garlic and black peppercorn. It shares the tender texture and meat-forward flavor of our Borsellino, but with a larger diameter (approx 2.5") that makes it easy to handle on a slicer. 

We created this salami with the kitchen in mind. Wonderful in a sandwich with all the fixings or layered on a pizza. Plus, we sell it with the casing removed so no peeling needed!
