JUDGES at the International Cheese Awards will have to munch their way through a collossal 4,592 entries this year – a record breaking amount.

The number has surpassed last year’s figure of 4,443, with the 80,000 sqft cheese tent also having to be enlarged by a further five metres to accommodate the produce, as well as the 100 plus exhibitors – another all-time record.

As usual, dairy producers from across the world will be travelling to the Dorfold Hall showground in Nantwich to battle it out for the title of Supreme Champion, which last year was won by Colston Bassett Dairy with its Whole Blue Stilton.
