Montreal's All-New 'Vegan Cheese' Is Now Here
October 6, 2014 | 1 min to read
Giving up cheese is probably the hardest about being vegan, in my humble meat-eating opinion. Eggs and milk are one thing, but the thought of giving up the decadence of all cheese is truly terrifying, and is the sole reason I, and likely many others, could probably never be vegan. Now, with Montreal’s new line of vegan cheese, living the vegan life looks a lot easier.
Zengarry vegan cheese, made about an hour outside of Montreal, is the new fromage on the block, although it technically isn’t cheese at all. Made mostly from cashews, Zengarry cheese is dairy-free, gluten-free, preservative-free, organic, and therefore perfect for a vegan diet.
Newly available in Montreal, Zengarry got people cheese’d (in a good way) at Montreal’s Vegan Festival, and can now be regurlaly found at 6 Montreal grocery stores. Find out where here.
