Happy Valentine’s Day, cheese lovers! What could be sweeter to a caseophile than a heart of cheese? Luckily, the folks at Sweet Grass Dairy know that some of us are just as satisfied with a creamy, ash-covered goat cheese than a box of chocolates. And lucky for me, the Cheese Shop at France 44 got in a shipment of Lumiere just in time for Valentine’s Day.
This soft-ripened cheese is similar to the chèvres you’d find throughout France’s Loire Valley – hand-dipped and carefully turned daily.
